SPIA Charitable Trust

The “SPIA Charitable Trust” was established on 04.09.2018 and carries Registration number: 71/IV/18. The registered office of the trust is situated in “Building No XIV/195A, Old MC Road, Kodimatha, Kottayam, Kerala – 686013” and the Administrative office of the trust is situated in “Office No.41/2795, C-2 First Floor, North Avenue Building, Paramara Road, Kochi, Ernakulam, Kerala-682018”.

The trust is an association of persons who are individuals running their own business in the Printing Industry. It is an organisation being established to promote charitable activities and not for profit motive. All the trustees of the trust were self employed persons (Carrying their own business) and the details of them are as follows:

MAIN OBJECTIVES OF THE TRUST

To educate the people of India in hygiene, health etc; and prevent young people from alcohol, drugs and immoral traffic etc; and for that purpose utilize visual media by producing and broadcasting T.V programmes, radio programmes etc: using modern information technology methods.
To give assistance for marriage of poor women.
To give financial help for construction of houses for the houseless.
To assist poor and disadvantaged people, disabled and children to understand their potential and to self- develop through their voluntary action.
To provide assistance financial or otherwise in whatever manner as it may deem fit for the Trust in case of flood, drought, earthquake, famine and other calamities.
To rehabilitate people effected with AIDS, cancer and leprosy or give assistance for their rehabilitation.
To institute centers for rehabilitation of mentally retarded and physically handicapped people.
To provide assistance and help to the physically and mentally sick.
To establish, and maintain Old Age Homes, Orphanages, Destitute Homes, etc to accommodate the aging, suffering and other needy people.
To establish, maintain and run studentships, scholarships and render other kind of aid to students including supply of books, stipends, medals and other incentives to study.
To conduct camps, conferences, seminar workshops etc for propagation or imparting training in practicing any of the objects of the Trust.
To disseminate the high values of life, through house visits, awareness conventions, counseling etc, and work against alcoholism, drug addiction, smoking, obscenity etc.
To open and operate schools or other educational institutions to impart formal or non- formal education.
To undertake programs to protect the environment and to make use of non- conventional energy resources to profess sustainable development.
To identify hidden human resources among poor disadvantaged people particularly in the fields of Sports, Music, fine arts and other creative works and to develop the same for the respective individuals and the society at large

ACTIVITIES TILL PRESENT IN KERALA

The trust was operational from the financial year 2018 – 19. However due to lack of funds the trust was not fully operational during the FY 2018 – 19 and FY 2019 – 20. The trust aims to be fully operational during the financial year 2020 – 21.
